Barolo wine tour
Barolo wine is made with nebbiolo grape. The Nebbiolo grape is grown in an area that encompasses 11 small villages located south of Asti in Piedmont, and is the variety that makes the famous Barolo wine.
The beautiful lanscape is surrounded by hills, vineyards and owing to Piedmont’s rich history, dotted with medieval castles. Barolo wine is a DOCG red wine, and therefore, must follow strict rules which govern factors such as the aging period which cannot be less than 3 years, including two in oak barrels.
The first stop on our tour will be a very popular, but small winery where we visit the historic cellar and taste several red wines including Barbera and Barolo.
We will visit the charming village of Barolo and its castle after which we will visit another castle where we will have lunch sitting on a terrace with breathtaking views over the vineyards.
After lunch we will visit a medium sized winery, and here too we will tour the cellar, finishing with the a tasting of Barbera and Barolo wines
We end the day with a stop at an unforgettable panoramic view point where you can enjoy a 360 degree vista of all the Langhe
