The Great Florence walking tour & David
This tour is designed to show you an indepth understanding of the ancient Florence, also perfect for first time visitors. We start our walk visiting one of the most pictoresque district in town: the old bridge with its goldsmith shops and the Uffizi courtyard. Your guide will talk about the Medici family, one of the greatest dynasty and you will receive an explanation of Florence that try to combine the historical information to the curiosity of more recent history. We will then proceed towards the civic centre of Florence: piazza della Signoria where you will admire the Reinassance statues and the medieval Town Hall. After that you will visit the Duomo Square, the Cathedral, where you will enjoy one of the largest chathedral in the world with its magnificent dome. Our final destination will be the Gallery of the Academy where your guide will talk about Michelangelo's life through the view of many masterpieces by the artist. Before visiting the Academy there will be time for a good home made gelato!
Uffizi Gallery tour
The Uffizi Gallery houses the most important collection of Renaissance paintings in the world. This tour focuses on the the most important Renaissance masters: Giotto, Fillipo Lippi, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Tiziano, Raffaello and many others.The aim of our Uffizi guided tour is not to rush through the Gallery, but instead, to observe selected works and using the Gallery as a visual text to enjoy the evolution of the Italian pictorial language. Food & Art tour
This tour wants to combine together the food and art’s culture in a walk that last three hours. It’s designed for those who don’t have much time to spend in Florence and they are curious to discover the many pleasures that Florence can offer beside history and art. We start our tour visiting the central food market where you will taste and receive explanations about:extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegard, lampredotto, cheese, cold cuts and local schiacciata. And you will learn how the food is a central aspect of every day’s life in Florence. After that we will start our walk through the main Florence highlithts, including the Cathedral and Piazza della Signoria . Along the way there will be time for an amazing home made gelato. Our final destination willl be the Palazzo Vecchio, the ancient Town Hall, where you will enjoy the beautiful frescoed appartaments where the Medici family used to live and the famous hall where the “art detectives” are still searching for the lost Leonardo da Vinci masterpiece behind an immense 16th century battle scene that adorns the walls of the Hall of the Five Hundred in Palazzo Vecchio, the historic seat of government in Florence.
