Super Tuscan and Chianti Wine Tour, 4 Winery Visits

This tour is an amped-up version of our 3 wineries visit tour. We add an extra special winery to make the experience even more exciting and informative.

The tour takes place in the Chianti region, where we will enjoy organic boutique wineries. We will drive through luscious rolling hills, typical of the Chianti landscape, and we will get to experience a variety of typical, organic Tuscan wines and organic local food.

Your tour begins when you meet your guide conveniently in central Florence. After introductions, get into your chauffeured van for an exciting day exploring Tuscany.

”More”

First stop is a small, family-run organic vineyard where you will get to walk the grounds and learn about the grapes themselves, the wine production, and a little about how organic wine is classified and sold in Italy. You will get to taste some of their organic products paired with their wines and can of course do some shopping before we head out.

Then we will get back in the van and head to the next destination: another small winery with spectacular views of the landscape Tuscany is so famous for. There we will enjoy another explanation of the wine we get to taste and a light lunch  to appreciate the wine even more. We will enjoy a variety of antipasti – typical Tuscan starters – including salumi, formaggi, crostini, organic olive oil and much more.

We will then visit the third small organic wine producer  for more wine tasting and more wine making explanation.

Finally, we will visit our fourth winery, which boasts a wine cellar dating all the way back to the 1100s, and olive mills as old as the 1300s. We will enjoy some of Tuscany’s most famous red wines, and taste some olive oil that is still produced in the antique tradition. Then, we can head back to Florence for a nice nap before deciding where you will head for dinner!

Our client’s words

I went on a wine tasting tour with Angie a few years ago and because of the great experience I booked again for May 2013. Angie’s tour was already fully booked so we were in Olivia’s group, another awesome day! The whole region is beautiful and there are plenty of tour operators but for me Angie’s personal service and small groups make her the go-to company for your Tuscan wine tasting tour. A bonus with the smaller groups is that Angie takes you to small and medium sized wineries, not the giant mass production places, so you really get face to face time with the owner/winemakers

We had an excellent wine and castle tour day. Federico was an exceptional guide and we had a wonderful time touring and tasting wine and olive oil. We would like to also mention the fantastic lunch we had it was memorable. We would highly recommend this tour.

An amazing day touring the Tuscany wine region! I would especially like to thank Francesca for making my 50th birthday a memory I will treasure forever! Her knowledge of wines, the countryside, olive oil, etc. was extraordinary! The wineries and the owners (Stephania and Marco) were excellent hosts and provided us with samples of the most amazing wines and olive oils. I would highly recommend your company to anyone visiting the Tuscany region! Again, thanks!!!

My wife and I took Angie’s Castle & Wine tour in late May. We had a fun, small group with Barbara as our guide. Barbara was very genuine and truly expressed an interest in wanting all of us to enjoy our day, as well as our time in Tuscany Would I recommend the tour? Yes, without a doubt. If you are a red wine drinker, these are smaller producers that you are most likely not able to purchase in the U.S. They make excellent wines, so treat yourself and send some home Our wines arrived in four weeks. Grazie Mille Angie and Barbara for a terrific day!
