Amarone Wine Tour in Valpollicella
Amarone, Valpolicella and Recioto wines are the most famous wines of Valpolicella, an area located in the north west part of the roman town of Verona, in Veneto region. The grapes used to make these prestigious wines are called Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. Especially the Amarone wine is dense and concentrated, with a velvety texture, aromatic with notes of all forms of cherry, coffee, almond. The production method used to produce Amarone dates back to the first century AD The Valpolicella which means valley of a thousand wineries is also beautiful and rich in art and history.
Wine Tour informations:
- 9.30 am Departure from Florence, Verona or Venezia,
- First explanations along the way
- Arrival at the first organic winery, where you will meet the owner or his assistant and be taken on a visit to the cellars. The whole wine making process will be explained. Tasting of Valpolicella, Amarone and Recioto wines.
- Lunch at the winery or in a typical a restaurant of the area
- After lunch we reach the second renowed winery to taste once again the famous Valpolicella, Amarone and Recioto wines
- Return to your place around 5.30pm
