Wedding Wine Tour in Tuscany, from Florence, private

Some of the most beautiful moments on our tours happen without anyone planning them, a marriage proposal between two rows of vines, the groom’s hands shaking more than the glass in his hand. For couples planning a wedding in Tuscany, our Wedding Wine Tour is built for exactly this: small, meaningful gatherings of up to 16 guests with two vans, or up to 24 with three. An English-speaking wine and food expert tour guide leads you through family run wineries at your own pace.
The day
The day unfolds across two or three family run wineries, chosen for their character as much as for their wine. At each stop, the winery owner welcomes you personally, guiding you through the vineyards and cellars before a tasting of Chianti, Chianti Riserva, or Super Tuscan wines. Lunch is a traditional, home cooked Tuscan meal at one of the wineries, made from family recipes and easily adapted for gluten-free, vegan, and other dietary needs.
Highlights
· Departure from Florence: set off into the Chianti countryside, with an introduction to Tuscany’s wine classifications along the way.
· First winery, a personal welcome: the owner leads you through the vineyards and cellars, followed by a guided tasting.
· Lunch at the second winery: a home cooked Tuscan meal, the perfect moment to raise a first toast.
· A third winery, if you’d like: for groups who want to extend the celebration with one more stop and tasting.
· Return to Florence: in time for dinner or an evening out with your guests.
Occasions to celebrate
- The day before: gather your guests as they arrive in Florence, and spend the afternoon together before the wedding day begins. It’s a relaxed way to bring everyone together after their travels, glass in hand.
- The day after: slow down with your closest guests before the goodbyes start. One more toast in the Tuscan countryside is a gentle way to close out the celebrations.
- The proposal: ask the question surrounded by vineyards, cellars, and the Tuscan hills. A quiet corner of a family winery makes the moment as personal as the question itself.
- The anniversary or vow renewal: come back to the vineyards to mark the years you’ve built together, surrounded by the family and friends who’ve been part of the journey. Wine in hand, of course.
- The bachelorette or bachelor party: gather your closest friends for a day of wine, food, and laughter before the big day. It’s a celebration built around good company rather than a big night out.
