Brunello di Montalcino Wine Tour from Florence or Siena, small group
Taste one of the world’s most prestigious wines on this tour to the stunning Montalcino region of Tuscany. You’ll learn how Brunello di Montalcino wine is made from an expert Sommelier guide and the winemakers themselves.
Why should you do the Brunello di Montalcino wine tour from Florence?
- Visit three amazing Brunello wineries where you will have the chance to meet the owners
- Brunello wine tasting
- Take in the breathtaking scenery as you enjoy a typical Tuscan lunch at one of the wineries
Description of the Brunello di Montalcino wine tour:
Brunello di Montalcino is a full bodied, structured, and complex red wine produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes. The wine is aged in oak barrels for five years before bottling.
One of the most famous wine regions of the world, the Montalcino area also produces Rosso di Montalcino. It’s considered the little brother of the Brunello, made from the same grapes, but aged for only one year. It’s a pleasant wine, lighter and less complex.
At the first winery we visit, you’ll meet one of the youngest organic Brunello producers, who will show you the process behind his wines, from the vineyard to the aging in oak barrels. It’s a fascinating story!
The second winery is a very famous one in Montalcino, where we’ll have a tasty homemade lunch, paired with at least four wines.
At the last winery, you’ll meet another young owner who will guide you inside his world of wine and other surprises.
Before returning to Florence, only if we have time, you’ll have the chance to stroll through the charming village of Montalcino, with its breathtaking views of the valley.

Felippo our guide was awesome. 10/10 Definitely worth every penny
Our guide Carlo was extremely informative and friendly. He got to know every one on the tour and made sure we were having a good day! Would book again next time I’m in Florence and would recommend to anyone looking to do a wine tour from Florence!
Thank you so much Carlo!
Would definitely recommend !
The wineries where beautiful with a lovely lunch included
Visiting small 3 family run wineries in Chianti with our very knowledgeable guide, Carlo who was like an old friend on the day.
The wine and food we had on the day was also amazing, only shame was that I couldn’t ship it back to Australia!
If you are looking for a good winery tour from Florence I highly suggest this one :)
They keep the group size small (HUGE plus in Florence) and the vineyards they pick are all small, family owned vineyards with some exquisite wines (see photos of the vineyards themselves). They even accommodate vegetarian and vegan diet options without compromising on any taste! Would 100% come back to do more wine tours with them!
This is a great wine tour!
The guide was great and answered all our questions along with giving us a rundown of information about wine, Italy's regulations and history on wine, etc. Very fun and good.
She is so knowledgeable and we learnt so much.
The wineries we went to were all great and we also had a lovely lunch at one of them.
This was a highlight of our trip, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Tack Francesca 😊
