Wine Tour description
In the Chianti and Castle tour, my intention is to involve you in a special and unique adventure in wine, olive oil, in local food, culture and traditions, but it will also include beautiful scenery, breathtaking landscapes and medieval villages.
In my tours you will not be just passive spectators but will be given all the information and tools needed to appreciate and evaluate a glass of wine, or the quality of olive oil for yourselves; you will see how wine is made from the harvest to the final process.
Meeting Point: Piazza Giuseppe Poggi, Florence
- 10 a.m. Departure from Florence, the first explanations along the way
- Arrival at the first Castle/winery, where you will meet the owner or his assistant and be taken on a visit to the wine cellars. The whole wine making process will be explained and in season part of the talk will be directly in the vineyard. Taste different red wines including Chianti and Super Tuscan, extra virgin olive oil and sometimes the balsamic vinegar
- Lunch at the Castle or at the second winery with classic Tuscan food
- Visit the medieval town of Greve in Chianti or the little hamlet of Montefioralle.
- After lunch we head to the second winery to experience once again the famous Chianti and Supertuscan wines.
- Return to Florence around 5.30pm

This Tuscan wine tour was a perfect blend of history, stunning scenery, and incredible wines. Francesca was an awesome guide. Each vineyard offered unique tastings and insights into the region’s winemaking passion. The breathtaking landscapes and delicious local lunch made the experience truly unforgettable. A must-do for any wine lover!
Got tipsy, shipped wine back to the USA, and came home full.
Thank you
Felippo our guide was awesome. 10/10 Definitely worth every penny
Our guide Carlo was extremely informative and friendly. He got to know every one on the tour and made sure we were having a good day! Would book again next time I’m in Florence and would recommend to anyone looking to do a wine tour from Florence!
Thank you so much Carlo!
Would definitely recommend !
The wineries where beautiful with a lovely lunch included
Visiting small 3 family run wineries in Chianti with our very knowledgeable guide, Carlo who was like an old friend on the day.
The wine and food we had on the day was also amazing, only shame was that I couldn’t ship it back to Australia!
If you are looking for a good winery tour from Florence I highly suggest this one :)
They keep the group size small (HUGE plus in Florence) and the vineyards they pick are all small, family owned vineyards with some exquisite wines (see photos of the vineyards themselves). They even accommodate vegetarian and vegan diet options without compromising on any taste! Would 100% come back to do more wine tours with them!
This is a great wine tour!
The guide was great and answered all our questions along with giving us a rundown of information about wine, Italy's regulations and history on wine, etc. Very fun and good.
She is so knowledgeable and we learnt so much.
The wineries we went to were all great and we also had a lovely lunch at one of them.
This was a highlight of our trip, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Tack Francesca 😊
