Tuscan Town of Greve in Chianti

Greve in Chianti is one of the nine communes of the Chianti Classico wine region located about 30 kilometers south of Florence. It is easily accessible via car along the main wine route: the Chiantigiana. In case you don’t have the accessibility of a vehicle you can take one of the most popular wine tour from Florence.

Greve in Chianti is a quaint town with its heart focused around Piazza Matteotti, a triangular square with covered porticos lined with artisan shops. At its center it hosts the statue of Giovanni da Verrazzano, the famous explorer who discovered Manhattan in US and Santa Croce at the base of the square. It’s the perfect place to sit back, relax and observe true Tuscan living.
